Ricks Institute

Not For Self, But For Others

Good morning Fellow Dragons,

Sharing more good news !!

In February 2021, Senior Dragon Walter Skinner, a member of the Interim Management Team that was formed to manage Ricks Institute following the resignation of Dr. Olu Menjay
, informed RIAA-USA of the many needs of the school including the needed for a vehicle, as there was no vehicle at Ricks for the students.

The RIAA-USA Board voted unanimously to set aside funds for the purchase of a vehicle, pending the selection of a principal to replace Dr. Menjay.

Dr. Enouch David Nyakoon was named principal in December 2021 and assumed the principalship at Ricks in February of this year (2022).

I am pleased to inform you that in March (2022,), we purchased a 2015 next to new Tundra Truck with 38,000 miles, for Ricks Institute. The truck was shipped shortly following the purchase and has arrived at Ricks. Principal Enouch is currently in the US . Upon his return, a formal presentation and dedication of the truck will be held.

I want to thank Principal Dr. Enouch for his role in the selection of the truck, Mr. Boney who did the signage on the truck prior to shipping, Mr. Harris Darsaw who shipped it, and Distinguished Alumnus and RIAAL President Mohamed Calico Lavalie for going over and above his call of duty to get the truck through customs and finally to Ricks.

My Fellow Dragons, you should be proud of yourselves. Your support to RIAA-USA and your love for our Alma Mater made this happen. ?????
